Answering a few questions about hot tubs

Posted on

Here at Urban Cedar Hot Tubs one of the first questions we are often asked is how much does it cost to run a hot tub. Our customers often quote they have heard that it can cost over £20 a week to heat a hot tub and it is unfortunate that such a figure is a legacy of some of the first hot tubs that were produced and which had next to no thermal insulation. Typically, the hot tubs we provide cost an average of between 50p and £1.00 per day to run. This is down to the fact that all our hot tubs are superbly insulated, further insulated by cedar, and this insulation extends to the cover as well.

As for installation, that is a lot simpler than many of our customers imagine. The water in our hot tubs only needs changing every 3 to 6 months and the hot tubs can easily be filled using a garden hose. As a result, you don’t need to “plumb them in”. Wherever you decide to site your hot tub, it is a relatively simple task to provide an electric supply for the heater and we are always happy to use a local electrician to assist in connecting up your newly installed hot tub.

Our hot tubs don’t require a great deal of maintenance as they are designed to be enjoyed rather than become the source of extra work. Cedar is a wood that is extremely easy to maintain, while the hot tub itself requires no more cleaning than your bath does.

These are answers to three of the most common questions we are asked. However, what we do recommend is that you get in contact with this and make an appointment to come and see us at our showroom in Yatton, near Bristol. Once there, you will be able to get a true feel for the quality of all our hot tubs and we will be more than delighted to answer any additional questions you may have.
